SUN-jun-ah - SUH-thee-en
As you can see, I was once a celebrity for a day.
I've reported from the U.S., Chile, Bolivia, Turkey, Cyprus, India, Nepal, and Japan.
I am a writer of fiction and journalism. Until 2019, I'll be earning my MFA at the Iowa Writers' Workshop in the fiction program. I am a 2017 Paul and Daisy Soros Fellow and a 2017 attendee of the Clarion Writers' Workshop.
Before Iowa, I lived in Mumbai, where I was the Asia editor and correspondent for the digital magazine OZY.com. Prior to that, I covered technology, the South Asian diaspora, and politics, and I led features reporting for OZY in the Bay Area.
I attended Yale, where I was editor-in-chief of the Yale Globalist. I learned the newspaper trade at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and the Boston Globe.
