SUN-jun-ah - SUH-thee-en

As you can see, I was once a celebrity, albeit briefly.

I've reported from the U.S., Chile, Bolivia, Turkey, Cyprus, India, Nepal, and Japan.

I am a writer currently earning my MFA in fiction at the Iowa Writers' Workshop. I am a Paul and Daisy Soros Fellow and an alumna of the Clarion Writers' Workshop.

Before Iowa, I served as Asia editor and correspondent for the digital magazine OZY. My reporting from India was honored by the South Asian Journalists' Association. Prior to that, I covered Silicon Valley for OZY.

I attended Yale, where I was editor-in-chief of the Yale Globalist. I learned the newspaper trade at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and the Boston Globe.
