SUN-jun-ah - SUH-thee-en
As you can see, I was once a celebrity, albeit briefly.
If you'd like to receive (very) occasional updates on my work, please consider subscribing to my newsletter!
I am an MFA candidate at the Iowa Writers' Workshop, and an alumna of the Clarion Writers’ Workshop. I am also a 2017 Paul and Daisy Soros Fellow.
My fiction has been published or is forthcoming in Boulevard, Salt Hill, and Joyland. I have been a runner-up for the Boulevard Emerging Writers' Short Fiction Prize and a finalist for the Narrative Story Contest.
I’ve worked as a tech reporter in San Francisco and a foreign correspondent in Mumbai. My reporting from India was honored by the South Asian Journalists' Association. Over the past decade, I’ve reported from the U.S., Chile, Bolivia, Turkey, Cyprus, India, Nepal, and Japan.
For now, I live in the cornfields.
